CCPS reports enhanced capability and significant time savings with TEAMS
Online, March 8, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Student Learning Objectives (SLOs) are one of the many measures for the student growth component of teacher evaluations, and an integral part of educator effectiveness measured in many school districts. Districts strive to standardize the SLO template by specifying standard questions teachers use to write their SLOs. Writing an SLO also includes selecting the cohort of students who are included in the SLO and specifying which test(s), if any, will be used to measure growth. The typical workflow for an SLO includes approval by the principal.
Using TEAMS, a new teacher evaluation software platform developed by Insystech, Charles County Public Schools in Maryland announced that they've created their 4,000th Student Learning Objectives (SLO) this school year. As teacher evaluations become increasingly complex for most school districts, SLOs are seen as an integral measurement of educator effectiveness in terms of student growth.
Charles County Public Schools is a district of nearly 27,000 students near Washington, DC. All 2,200 + teachers and 400+ administrative staff use TEAMS throughout the school year.
